VERY SMALL ANIMALS
This is not the Milky Way!
Katy synthesized a batch of submicron-sized poly(decyl methacrylate) particles using emulsion polymerization process.
We plan to use them as a photoresponsive sensing platform. The polymeric beads were loaded with DiIC18, objective 100x.

We plan to have an informal group meeting at the Lane County Ice Center in Eugene on Sunday June 24 at 2 pm. Let's do some ice skating. Summer is hot, we will stay on the ice.

We officially started our collaboration with Dr. Shane Peper of Pacific Northwestern National Laboratory (PNNL). Our work is funded by a subcontract from PNNL.

Our first proposal was funded! The program "ONAMI Nanometrology and Nanoelectronics Initiative" is funded by ONAMI and Office of Naval Research.
