I have decided to introduce a small buffer to your scores to accommodate any inexactness that may have crept into an evaluation system that asks you to calculate many numbers, use a technology (OWL) which is rigid, write quizzes for a variety of Teaching Assistants, take exams in large lecture theaters, and make entries on a couple of Scantron forms. Accordingly, no student was "just a few points away from a higher grade." |

If you scored a higher percentage on the cumulative final exam than the percentage on all three exams, the final exam percentage was used to calculate your exam component -- see Syllabus. |
