James D. White Honorary Symposium

An honorary symposium for Professor James D. White was held on Saturday, September 25th, 2004 at the OSU campus in Corvallis to celebrate his formal retirement (although he is still as active as ever!).  The symposium was well-attended with a large collection of his previous students converging back on Corvallis.  Some of the photos from the event have been posted on the web.   More will be added as they are received.  In addition, an article appeared in Saturday's Gazette-Times on the distinquished career of Professor White.

James D. White Fellowship: This newly created fellowship will benefit a full-time Ph.D student who has accomplished significant research in the area of organic or bioorganic chemistry.  You can honor Dr. White’s commitment to chemistry, chemistry research, and graduate education by making a gift of cash, stocks, or other appreciated property.  Please make your check out to the OSU Foundation and write James D.
